Account & Billing
Manage your personal account settings, notifications, authentication, and billing. For team billing, see Organizations.
Overview
The Account page lets you manage your personal settings and security. The Billing page handles your prepaid balance and payment history.
Notification Preferences
Plutarc can reach you via email (always available — sent to your account email) and Telegram (real-time pings, requires linking a chat). The Notification Preferences card on the Account page is a matrix: one row per category, one toggle per channel. Invalid combinations (e.g. low-latency trading alerts on email) render as "—".
Account & support — billing alerts, staff replies to your support tickets, and ticket resolution. Email is on by default; Telegram is available once you've linked a chat.
Bot trading — position opens/closes, hourly/daily summaries, kill switch, error burst, queue depth, risk warnings, bot lifecycle. Telegram-only; enabled per category after linking.
Some emails are transactional and always fire regardless of prefs — your welcome email at signup, organization and staff invitations.
For in-app notification sounds and per-category muting (bot status, bot commands, backtests, deployments), see the Settings page.
To enable Telegram, navigate to the Account page and use the Telegram Link panel. Follow the prompts to connect your chat via our bot. Once linked, the Telegram column in the Notification Preferences matrix becomes editable.
Password Management
Change your account password from the Account page. For security, you'll be asked to reverify your identity (re-enter your current password or use another authentication method) before the change takes effect.
Passkeys
Passkeys provide passwordless authentication using biometrics (fingerprint, face recognition) or hardware security keys. They are more secure than passwords because they can't be phished or reused.
You can register multiple passkeys on the Account page — for example, one on your laptop and one on your phone. If you lose access to a passkey, you can remove it and register a new one.
Session Management
The Sessions panel shows all devices and browsers where you're currently signed in. You can sign out from individual sessions — useful if you've left yourself logged in on a shared or public device.
If you notice a session you don't recognise, sign out of it immediately and change your password.
Plans & Billing
plutarc uses a pay-as-you-go billing model. You prepay a balance and deploy bots that consume it at a per-hour compute rate. There are no subscriptions, tiers, or limits on bots, API keys, or templates.
Organization Billing
When operating in an organization context, billing is managed by the Owner or Admin. Members with other roles see a "Managed by Admin" message and cannot top up or view payment history. Each organization maintains a separate prepaid balance from your personal account.
Prepaid Balance
Top up your account from the Billing page (minimum £20). Your balance is deducted automatically as your bots run. Credits never expire.
Running Costs
The Billing overview shows your current hourly and daily burn rate based on all active bots. Use this to estimate how long your balance will last and when you'll need to top up. Bots that are sleeping between trading sessions do not contribute to your burn rate.
Sleep/Wake Savings
Bots configured with trading sessions automatically sleep during inactive hours. While sleeping, the compute instance is deprovisioned and no charges are incurred — your burn rate reflects only active bots. For example, a bot on Hetzner (£0.09/hr) trading London+NY sessions (08:00–22:00 UTC) costs ~£38/month instead of ~£66/month for 24/7 operation — a 42% saving.
Usage History
The Usage History tab on the Billing page shows a detailed log of compute usage by bot — including the bot name, region, duration, and cost for each billing period. This lets you see exactly where your balance is going.
Auto Top-Up
Enable automatic balance replenishment from the Billing page to avoid manual top-ups. Configure a threshold (minimum £1) — when your balance drops below this amount, an auto top-up is triggered — and a top-up amount (minimum £20, must exceed the threshold). A saved payment method is required. If your card requires 3D Secure authentication, you will be notified via email (and Telegram, if linked) to complete a manual top-up instead. Auto top-up is automatically disabled if your payment method is removed.
Zero Balance Wind-Down
When your balance reaches zero, bots enter a graceful wind-down: no new positions, but existing ones continue to be managed. You have a 1-hour grace period to top up. Notifications are sent via the dashboard and email (plus Telegram, if linked).
Payment History
The Payments tab shows all top-up transactions with date, amount, and status. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. After a successful top-up, your balance updates immediately.
